A typical week at Medway.
Monday – 18 hole Medley competition (optional), plus public bookings/ visitors, groups all day.
Tuesday – Women’s AM 18 hole & 9 hole competition and members only until 1pm. Public bookings Visitors & guests access after 1pm.
Wednesday – 18 hole Medley competition (optional) and 9 hole competition up to approx 1.00pm. After Competition Visitors welcome all day. Public bookings from 4pm.
Thursday- Men’s PM competition All day competition members only. Social access from 4pm
Friday – Medley competition up to 1.00pm hit off. Public bookings, Visitor & Group access all day. Typically corporate golf day bookings in peak season
Saturday – All day competition members only with 7 day access.
Sunday – All day competition members only (men’s and women’s) with guests upon approval. Public bookings visitors after 12.30pm (12.00pm is peak season). Competition visitors welcome.

1 | Out of Bounds (Rule 18.2) All ground beyond the external fences including areas defined by white stakes with black tops e.g. – on right side of 7th and 8th Holes, Car Park, Clubhouse, Putting Green areas and Maintenance Compound and driveway as defined |
2 | Trees and Shrubs identified by Stakes only are no play zones Staked trees and staked shrubs (includes the Stake and any wrapping) are no play zones that is treated as an abnormal course condition. Free relief MUST be taken from the interference by the no play zone under Rule 16.1f. |
3 | Fixed Sprinkler Heads, Hoops, Ropes, Stakes, Tree Guards All fixed sprinkler heads, hoops, ropes, stakes, and tree guards are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 16-1b |
4 | Immovable Obstructions (eg Sprinkler Heads) close to Putting Greens – Line of Play Interference Rule 16.1b applies to immovable obstructions close to putting greens. In addition to the types of interference described in Rule 16.1a, interference also exists if an immovable obstruction is: on the player’s line of play, and is within two club-lengths of the putting green, and is within two club-lengths of the ball. (Exception – There is no relief under this Local Rule if the player chooses a line of play that is clearly unreasonable.) |
5 | Cracks. Cracks in the ground in parts of the general area are ground under repair. The player may take relief under Rule 16.1b. But interference does not exist if the crack only interferes with player’s stance. |
6 | Seams of Cut Turf If a player’s ball in the general area lies in or touches a seam of cut turf, or a seam interferes with the player’s area of intended swing, the player may take relief under Rule 16.1b. But interference does not exist if the seam only interferes with the player’s stance. All seams within the area of cut turf are treated as the same seam in taking relief. |
7 | Relief from Paths Only Paths of construction type Bitumen, Concrete, Granitic Sand or Artificial Grass are treated as immovable obstructions from which free relief is allowed under Rule 16.1 |
8 | Aeration Hole If a player’s ball lies in or touches an aeration hole: (a) Ball in General Area. The player may take relief under Rule 16.1b. If the ball comes to rest in another aeration hole the player may take relief again under this Local Rule. (b) Ball on Putting Green. The player may take relief under Rule 16.1d. But interference does not exist if the aeration hole only interferes with the player’s stance or, on the putting green, on the player’s line of play. Penalty for Playing Ball from a Wrong Place in Breach of Local Rule: General Penalty Under Rule 14.7a. Unless otherwise noted, the penalty for a breach of a Local Rule is the general penalty (stroke play – two strokes, match play – loss of hole) |
