GENERAL CLUB NEWS
Melbourne Water Sewer Project- Updated November 20
Recent update as of November is that the new temp tee has been approved by MW and works will progress on a new temp tee for the 8th. The tee will be across to the North- similar length to now (approx 105 metres) but a much better angle to the green.
Once the base is done- artificial grass mats will be installed with an access path to the bridge and a tidy up of the area to complete the job. All at Melbourne Waters costs. The other temp tee will likely not be used once completed.
The Board has commenced discussions with Melbourne Water as to how the next 24 months will look like in regards to support for the club. The Board will utilize external assistance if required to ensure the club has the best outcome possible due to the impact to the club.

General Course Behaviour
We have had some feedback from members in relation to a number of issues around the Club and would like to draw your attention to the following:-
Bunkers
Our course staff have increased their attention to the presentation of bunkers and we are all benefitting from this however this all comes undone if members are not raking bunkers properly during play so here are some tips on this topic.
-
- When playing from a bunker always enter and exit from the low point avoiding walking on the face of the bunker.
-
- On completion of play make sure you take care of and maintain all disturbed areas.
-
- Make sure the playing surface sand is left as smooth and even as possible.
-
- Always use the rake, not your foot or a golf club.
-
- On completion of raking place the rake in the centre of the bunker pointing to the flag.
Sprinkler Heads
Members using carts please avoid driving the wheels over sprinkler heads. This is causing the sprinkler heads to either fail or is reducing their life expectancy. The heads are expensive to replace and damage can cause water leaks reducing our precious water supply.
Short Cuts
When moving from the 13th green to the 14th tee please do not walk across the 16th tee. Please use the path behind the 16th tee. Generally when navigating the course players should avoid walking with their buggies across tees and greens.
