General Course Works

Aiming to re-lay and level the 10th, 17th and back part of 13th tee Mid December after club championships.

Fairways will be cut slightly lower to improve the fairways then revert back to normal heights.

Tee heights will be lowered also to improve playability and appearances

Volunteers Report

OCTOBER

Day One

Followed the coring machine around the course and clean the greens of all corrs then loaded them for transport to a temporary storage.

Day Two

Following the extremely strong winds on the night of Sunday the 1st September, the team toured the course and loaded eleven tractor trailer loads of tree debris and transported to the mulching area.

Day Three

Mulched the rose garden at the end of the practice green and also on the garden behind the 15th tee.

Constructed a granitic sand path around part of the decking.

Loaded a large skip bin with obsolete materials following maintenance around the club house and cleaned up the area around the old house.

Removed three trailer loads of green waste from around the course.

 

 

Greens Mowing

Ground staff have right of way at all times.

Weekly Course Schedules

Greens– mowed, dew whipped or rolled- 7 days a week

Holes cut- Monday AM, Friday arvo, Sunday – caps changed

Fairways– mowed- weekly- as required- less often during winter

Bunkers– raked Tuesday, Friday 

Edges- trimmed – as required

Constant manage sand depth

Tees/ Surrounds

Tee plate Rotation- twice week

Tee Divot repair- weekly

Mowing- weekly

General

Rough cut – as required- 40ml-50ml heights.

Ball washers/ Bins/ Sand boxes, Buckets, Car park clean weekly/ twice weekly-

Dusted- every 4-6 weeks- typically Mondays- course staff have right of way beginning August 2024

Note- Monday comp may be suspended on occasions if course maintenance doesn’t allow for comp to be played

8th Hole – post Melbourne Water Project

Concept design attached for re-instatement at the end of the project with Melbourne Water via TP golf.

9th Hole – Bunker rebuild design

Note- Holes 5 and 18 completed in 2023.
